Processing Your Emotions

Uncover emotions & embrace self-compassion.

Do you struggle with knowing how to process your emotions? Journaling provides you with a safe space to explore your emotions in a non-judgmental way so that you can meet yourself with compassion however you're feeling.

1. How are you feeling emotionally in this moment? Get curious, drop any judgment, and name the feeling.

2. Where do you feel the emotion in your body? Notice any sensations in your body.

3. What's your relationship with this emotion? Is it pleasant or unpleasant, comfortable or uncomfortable, familiar or unfamiliar?

4. How was this emotion modeled to you growing up? Reflect on how this modeling impacts your present-day relationship with this feeling.

5. How can you practice accepting how you're feeling and meet yourself with compassion in this moment? Place one hand over your heart, take a deep breath, and practice cultivating compassion from within.
