What’s New in 'Year in Review' for 2026

Last December we launched Year in Review( myyear.review), a free way to send a a recap of your year to friends and loved ones. This year we added a bunch of new features and delights. Here are the highlights:

• Animated envelopes make them a joy to receive. Your review arrives in an envelope addressed with your greeting, like “Happy New Year from the Parkers,” then opens onto your year.
• Stories. Anyone can tap Watch as a Story to play your year as full-screen cards, one moment at a time.
• Videos. In addition to photos you can now paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and it plays right inside your review. Oh and you can drag and drop any of it to quickly re-arrange.
• Songs. Add someone’s favorite song from Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube, and it can be played without leaving the page.
• More ways to customize. 20 heading fonts, 10 body fonts and 13 themes, any colors you like. Plus new background textures like a mesh gradient or some subtle texture.
• Made for phones. The editor and the reviews were rebuilt for small screens, and you see your review take shape as you write it.
• Homepage. Nine sample reviews now show off the new design. Open one as a recipient would, or play with it in the demo editor.
