I Want to Remember This

Deepen your memories of this special time

There are moments in life that we know are special - vacations, celebrations, life transitions, or time with a precious person. This guide will help you document and remember what this time was like, including the unique details not shown in pictures. Give yourself a gift of memories you can revisit. Use this guide whenever a special moment arises, ensuring that no precious detail is lost to time.

1. Document your senses – What smells, sounds, feelings on your skin, and tastes are you experiencing?

Journaling about all your senses in as much detail as possible helps you notice and remember things more intensely. 

2. Write down something someone said that really struck you. 

This might be an overheard conversation from strangers or a personal moment with someone you love. Why did this bit of conversation stay with you?

3. What was your absolute favorite moment from this day? 

Write it down exactly as you remember it today. Take time to flesh it out so you can relive it through your writing. 

4. How were you different during this special time? What did you learn about yourself?

Significant events can help us to re-prioritize or to express ourselves in a new way. 

5. How did this life experience change the way you see things? What gift or lesson did it bring?

Remember how you felt in these moments and let that inform the day-to-day of your life.
